2009 Season Begins on June 4!
Join the Kankakee Municipal Band for their first concert of the 2009 season on Thursday, June 4 at 7:30 pm.

Our conductor is Dr. Neal McMullian.
Serving as just the fifth director in the history of the band, Dr. McMullian is a music professor at Olivet Nazarene University. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Georgia.

	2009 CONCERTS Don Palzer Bandshell at Bird Park Performances begin at 7:30 PM Thursday, June 4 Thursday, June 11 Thursday, June 18 Thursday, June 25 Thursday, July 2 Thursday, July 9 Thursday, July 16 Thursday, July 23 Thursday, July 30 Thursday, August 6 The band performs a wide variety of crowd pleasers including marches, Broadway show tunes, overtures and popular favorites. Concerts begin at 7:30 pm in Kankakee's historic Bird Park. The park is bordered on the east by the Kankakee River, on the west by Wall Street, on the north by Court Street (Illinois Route 17), and on the south by Station Street. The band performs at the Don Palzer Band Shell on the park's north side. Audience members are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. Limited bleacher space is available. Restrooms are available. All band concerts are free and open to the public. Vehicles should enter the park from Wall Street and exit from Station Street.
